Pegalis and Erickson secured a $5.3 Million settlement for Deidre Thompson, who suffered medical malpractice during the birth of her son Sebastian. Sebastian was born with a heart rate of over 200 beats per minute and was not breathing on his own. He was also having seizures and a later CT scan of his brain showed a skull fracture and bleeding. Today, Sebastian is permanently disabled and has difficulty walking and speaking.
